Graphics Design has been a class that I have been waiting to take for a long time. I enjoyed about learning how to create new things from the comfort of my computer. I enjoyed getting to collaborate with other classmates to work on our website.
I have already started using the skills I have developed into my classroom. My school just started on Wednesday and we went into Graphics Design on Thursday. The students learned the C.R.A.P. concept and what projects we are going to be working on. The students are creating their own license plates right now, but will be working on a logo this coming week. I decided that each class is going to create a website in which to submit their lessons online. Each student is going to be creating their own page on the website and collaborate with other students to make pages from class updates to education websites they can visit. I am going to make them use their logo on their webpage and then again on the page they collaborate on.
I have really enjoyed learning the concepts that were taught and am so glad to be able to teach my students about this wonderful subject. I feel that Graphics Design is something to help those not so "artsy" students get an even level playing field. They get to create something that is going to be with them for a long time. This class is also going to help me with my student organization. I have a group that does competitions and one competition is the animation. I am going to show them Scratch and let them begin playing with it. Then, we can create our video.
I am so glad I got to take this class. I would recommend it to anyone and hope they have as much fun as I did. I hope I get some other classes like this, so I can use them in my classroom.
